Day 32 - Add A Few Highlights...May 5, 2006
Decided to have highlights put in my hair to give it texture and the look of more density. Just whilst the shocked-out hair and newly transplanted hair grows through.
It has certainly worked well and I am so happy that I have a great look to see me through the wait.

Day 39 - Happy Birthday To MeMay 12, 2006
It's my birthday!!

Hair is looking great - and that's without around 4000 hairs still to come through (transplanted + shock lost)
What a great Birthday Present
Day 48 - Shock Lost Hair Is ReturningMay 21, 2006
Shock lost hair is returning slowly and the very first signs of new growth (bristle) is starting to come through.
Very happy although ... ROLL ON 4 months!

Day 56 - The Fur Is ThereMay 29, 2006

Thought I'd do a quick 'before and afterimage to remind myself where all this started.
I now have lots of soft fine hairs coming through - like very soft bristle.
After looking at my scalp through a magnifying glass, it is obvious that I'm at stage 1 of the new (and returning post-shock) hair growth.
2 months to go until the new thick locks come through!
Day 64 - The First Spot Has ArrivedJune 6, 2006

Well, the new site has been uploaded and I'm getting some great feedback about the look and about my third transplant results.
I actually forgot that people hadn't seen the results and the last photo uploaded was in January 2006.
Hair is looking and feeling great and apart from a single spot on top, everything is well on the way to a full head of hair.
The fur has started to develope and within another couple of months, that will be replaced by thick hair.
I am one very happy chappy!
Day 65 - Heading Towards Stage 2 Of Hair GrowthJune 7, 2006
Getting some great feedback so thank you guys.
Hair is really starting to motor with the shadow definately visible. I would say I'm at mid term stage now, so only 2 months until it comes through thick.

Just for information, once you have a hair transplant, hair grows through in three stages:
Baby hair (vellus)
This is between 1 and 3 months post procedure and the hair is very fine, transparent and "fur" like to the touch.
In comparison, it is like the hair on your nose - you know it's there but it is almost invisible. This hair grows no longer than a couple of millimetres.
Mid Term/Stage
This normally comes through between 2 to 4 months after the procedure
(the stage I am just starting at now).
This is still fine hair and very soft. It grows only around a centimetre maximum and is normally blond or a much lighter shade than your natural hair colour.
Becasue it is thicker than vellus hair, it causes a shadow effect on your scalp.
Terminus/Final stage
This is when the fun starts. The hair is identicle to the hair at the back of your head and grows at the same rate.
Starting around 4 to 6 months, it can firstly feel like bristles and then once it starts to grow (around 1/2 inch a month)'it'becomes thicker than the surrounding hair.
Day 71 - Cooling DownJune 13, 2006

After a long weekend in London, when the average temperature was 30 degrees back to normality in Birmingham
Hair still great. I've parted my hair a little on the right hand photo to show the gaps starting to fill in with a shadow. Definately at stage 2 now and I reckon only 6 weeks to go until no gaps are visible.
Shock lost hair coming back already so I'm happy
Day 72 - Here It Comes.June 14, 2006

Took these photos in full light (from the window and sunroof)
You can see the fluff/shadow coming through on top - look s almost like I have a dirty scalp as it
is darker with all the hair roots starting to show through.
Day 73 - A Few Little SpotsJune 15, 2006

This is what my hair is like first thing in the morning without product or styling.
Noticing a few little spots coming through on my scalp which are (according to my GP) small cysts where the hair is trying to come through but is stopped by the skin growing over and not letting it out.
Completely normal as I had around 6 after my first procedure and around the same after the second.
Easy to deal with, a very gentle squeeze and they're gone.
Day 74 - The Wet LookJune 16, 2006

Just out of the bath and hair is soaking wet. Not bad eh?
Cysts have gone and another one starting to appear.
Hair has still got to thicken a fair bit but realistically at this stage none of the hair has come through yet.
I'm still happy and upbeat but getting impatient.
